Haunted Aquarium: Shipwrecked!

Grab your costumes and visit Birch Aquarium at Scripps for a spooky fun Halloween event this Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The aquarium will feature:
• Special and unique creatures that aren’t usually at the aquarium
• Glowing beasts of different sizes
• Get sticky making your own seaweed slime to take home.
• Shipwrecked stories
• Live music
• Oceanography Scientists share thrilling, and sometimes eerie, research.
• Frankensquid! Get up close and see the Thumboldt Squid, also known as the jumbo flying squid, and learn what makes it stand out amongst other sea beasts.
• Catch a glimpse of the spooky skeleton shrimp and sea spiders.
• Enjoy games, activities, prizes and giveaways.

The Boulevard BOO! Parade

Stop by San Diego’s only Halloween-themed Parade! The parade takes place in College Area starting at 59th Street, travelling east along El Cajon Blvd, and ending at Aragon Drive. The parade includes more everything, and it’s going to be the best one yet! After the parade, the College Avenue Baptist Church will host the After BOO! Carnival. The carnival will include music, carnival rides, inflatables, food, games, FREE photo booth, a family-friendly band, crafts, temporary tattoos, face paint, and much more! As a very special treat to Frozen fanatics, Anna and Elsa will make an appearance to meet and greet all of their friends!

This incredible Autumn festival welcomes hundreds of vendors bringing in approximately 24,000 handmade and embellished products. Enjoy American arts and crafts, all day entertainment, a kids’ activity center, fair foods, and more. Various vendors bring jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, photography, original art, music, etc. The kid zones have craft activities for your children to enjoy hands-on entertainment.

NFAR (National Foundation for Autism Research) is hosting their 5th annual “autism friendly” Halloween carnival with the help of AEFCT (Autism Experts Empowering Families and Children Together), Crimson Speech and Language and K.I.D.S. Therapy Inc. These organizations teamed together to make this the best carnival yet. Bring your children to enjoy Halloween games, crafts, bounce houses, a giant slide, treats (gluten free available), prizes, and more carnival style fun!

Bring your children along for the spookiest train ride of their life. The Pumpkin Express is a Halloween celebration at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum where you can expect:
• To ride in a Halloween decorated vintage railcar in and out of mountains.
• Walk through the spooky themed Display Building
• 2 haunted trains
• Pumpkin patch
• Eerie cast of ghosts and ghouls
Trains leave the Campo Depot at 10 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. The Pumpkin Express travels through the most impressive parts of historic San Diego and Arizona railway. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Grim Reaper as he may be lurking on board. *Advanced reservations required*
